**For X-Plane 12 use, you must install Open AL to prevent errors because Laminar ended support for it. Update steps:
Install the OpenAL runtime for windows by running the windows installer here: https://www.openal.org/downloads/
Be sure to back up any custom data files (com/nav presets, FlightPlans, etc)
Extract to desktop, then copy to X-Plane Aircraft Folder
